Just wanted to see if my account got banned

Dayum, this journal is ancient history. I've been reading over this and wow, someone should've shoot me for the emo-ness I've been spewing out.

A short overview of my life at the moment:

Still at college, though I wish I could just drop out. It's a biggest waste of my time and money, it gives me viturally nothing in return. Man, I like the idea of becoming a hermit farmer; I'll just work till I have enough money to buy a land and seeds and lumbers and stuff, build a cottage, plant a garden, and live off the stuff I grow and hunt. Oh, and shoot the occasional intruders and then use the skulls impaled upon wooden sticks to ward off any newcomers, and eat the rest of the bodies to absorb their souls and their powers.

Life is very unfulfilling at the moment. I think nothing, short of a near-death experience, is going to jolt me out of this spiritual funk.

Damn

Now my second Xbox360 has gone down in the shitter. Can't I just get one that doesn't fuck itself after a month?

I bought a new game - Lost Planet, and in the middle of playing it, I heard a weird whirring sound and the xbox shutted down the game. I checked the disc and sure enough, it scratched the hell out of the disc... It was the collector's edition too, pretty expensive. I went back to replace it and then came back and popped in PGR to make sure it won't fuck up the disc. It doesn't but it showed an error page saying it needs to be in a xbox360 console, weird, I didn't think too much of it since PGR sucks balls. So I popped in Lost Planet to play it again, but it showed the same error saying I need to put it in a xbox360 console, even though *it* is in a xbox 360 console.

The laser must have frizzed out or something. This is getting to be a real hassle.

It also fucked up my Rainbow6 Vegas disc as well but that's mostly my fault as I instinctively picked up the xbox to keep the chocolate milk I spilled all over the table from ruining my xbox and it was still playing the game and fucked up the disc due to my moving it around. My controller was ruined by the same chocolate milk as well. Man, this is turning into a real expensive hobby and I just spent what's left of my funds on soul-eating university.

My life is incomplete without Live. :'(

kthxbai

Found it off some other site, in all probability it's a fake, but its pretty funny:

Teenage Suicide; Cryptic Signature Leave Authorities Guessing.
Miami, FL.
Trent Boozle.

A suicide note left by a troubled South Florida teen has sparked a extensive investigation into the meaning or identity of "kthxbai".

The parents of the teen have expressed nothing but puzzlement at the bizarre signature supposedly left by their son of seventeen years. "[our son] was always a good kid." The boys mother said during an interview, "though he did spend all of his time sitting at his computer".

The case, which was originally concluded to be an obvious suicide, has recently been re-opened after the parents demanded a more in-depth investigation considering the seemingly random group of letters the teen used to sign his final farewell.

"At first we thought it was some kind of 'word jumble' our boy left us in his final farewell", said the boys father, "We spent two weeks trying to figure it out, but it led us no where."

Extensive Investigation
The Miami Police Dept. have enlisted the assistance of their computer crimes task force to find out if there is more to this situation than a standard suicide.

"This is one of the harder tasks that we've dealt with here, simply because the only person who knows
what these letters, [kthxbai], mean has taken this knowledge to the grave", states Felicia Reven, lead detective of the Computer Crimes Task Force in Miami.

Currently, the Miami P.D. has five Detectives from the Computer Crime Task Force utilizing the majority of their high-tech machines to track down and decipher the 'code', and they estimate that it could take up to six weeks before they see any results.

For now, authorities are asking that anyone with any knowledge about the meaning or identity of "kthxbai" to please come forward. Any information on the case can be direct to the Miami Police Dept. Computer Crimes Unit by clicking Here.

For Fall:
Phil 2302 - Ethics Pt.1
Phil 1201 - Intro to Philosophy Pt.1
Hist 1201 - Civilization in the West Pt.1
Eng 1206 - Intro to Literature
Psyc 1210 - Mind and Brains

For Winter:
Phil 2302 - Ethics Pt.2
Phil 1201 - Intro to Philosophy Pt.2
Hist 1201 - Civilization in the West Pt.2
Psyc 1220 - Evolutionary Psychology
Psyc 1230 - Memory

Too bad this school doesn't offer film production... I've been brewing an idea lately that filmmaking is something I would definately do for the rest of my life, despite the fact I have no prior experience or even have a shred of artistic talent. Still, I'll take a shot at it if I can get the chance. I've been considering Nova Scotia College of Arts and Design for a while, but the thing's thats holding me back are the lack of a portfolio and money. I've been spending my student loans for 2 years with shitty results to show for it, I don't think they'll be too pleased to see that I want to transfer to yet another school before even starting at SMU.

This weekend is probably the last time I'll ever see my gf. She'll be going off to New York for school and then she's moving with her parents to BC by next summer. Instead of letting our relationship end in a whimper, I'm going out with a big bang by takin her out to a fancy resturant and do some stuff. I'm not sure... Ideas would be nice here.

I'm going to be pretty down after this weekend, probably for long awhile. There won't be another one like her.

Well, good memories... At least.

Well I'm fucked.

My parents just got a letter from the Student Loans Office and the contents of it went along the line of "you're disqualified for a new loans" and "you've been on a probation since last year". The flying fuck? Probation? Disqualified? What the hell are you talking about?

Granted I dropped alot of classes last semester from 5 classes to 2, but they told me the minimum for disabled people were 2 classes per semesters, so I thought I'd be fine. But probation? I have no idea where the fuck this came from. I didn't fail any classes except for 2, but it was the same class, calculus part 2. I don't see why this warrants a probation. My marks in other classes are alright, nothing special.

If I lose the loans, then I have to use all of my summer savings for school. Which means no kayak, new clothes or macbook pro that I wanted to buy with my summer savings.

What a way to ruin my summer, assholes.

Summer thus far...

Well, tonight I took my girlfriend Quinn to a friend's house where she taught me how to make spaghetti (which I already knew how, but she insisted on teaching me).

After that, we went out to a go-karting place near my house. We signed up for a full 20 minutes track time. The friend (her name is Ariella) was intially afraid of driving a go-kart since she has never drove before, and after lots of persuasion, we convinced her to try it for at least 5 minutes and she could get off if she didn't like it. I asked the guy if I could reduce the price a bit for 5 minutes riding time for her (10 minutes for 10 bucks was the minimum), he said she can get a free ride for 20 minutes (I think he gave her a free ride cuz she was cute).

The go-karts were crazy, they could go 45km/h and I kept skidding the pavement every time I drove a tight curve. Everyone on go-karts were so fuckin aggressive, they kept trying to be in the first place so they always cut off everyone (there were 2 lanes, but not much room to manuver if someone hit ya). If you get hit by someone else, you're off the track, possibly nursing a minor whiplash (it reminded me alot of Super Mario Kart). In the midst of my raging competitiveness, I tried to overtake my girlfriend who was ahead in the 2nd place but I cut to her lane too early and bumped my girlfriend off the track where she hit a pile of tires. Quinn got pretty pissed at me, heh. Don't worry though, I had it coming, a little later on, she hit me back and I ended up in a mud puddle. Fortunately the mud made my tires slick enough to be able to drift smoothly and the jolt somehow made my go-kart more faster, I could overtake others pretty easily. In the end, I ended up in the first place. Go me.

She eventually got over my hitting her and laughed when I told her I ended up in a mud puddle after she hitted me.

Ariella got over her fear of driving and went for the full 20 minutes ride. She enjoyed it alot more than she expected.

We went to McDonalds afterward for ice creams. Good times to be had tonight.

Quinn's going back to New York in 2 weeks and I'm comin home in 3 weeks... Fuck. Summer goes by too fast.

I'm dreading going back to school... *shudders*

Haven't posted in a bit.

I work at a boring-ass science lab in Ottawa. It pretty much consists of me doing the same thing everyday for 2 months. Booorring. My social life is pretty good though. I met lots of cool people and I'm even dating a deaf girl now, which is something I haven't done before.

Yeah, I wish I had a car. This place is fuggin huge. The bike this family let me borrow is pretty shitty, so I can't go far with it. The bus system is pretty confusin to me and the bus fare is a bit high (3 bucks).

I finished registering for my courses in SMU, which is basically 80% psychology courses with some philosophy and english here and there. I was lucky enough to register the classes I wanted on the day they opened the registration cuz the website was getting raped pretty badly from the amounts of students trying to register at the same time. I get friday off for the whole year. 3-day weekends FTW.

My 20th birthday came and gone without so much a peep. My parents promised me a cake when they came up last weekend but they forgot. Ah well. I'll get a better 20th next lifetime, I guess. I didn't get a present yet either, but that's cuz I told them to wait till I get back so I can go lookin for a kayak to get for my birthday with like 200 bucks from my parents and 800+ bucks from my summer job to get a decent kayak + equipments.

I've developed an affinity for asian food now, my gf showed me this street in Ottawa thats basically full of asian resturants and stuff, it's like Chinatown Street or something. We went to a Vietnamese resturant for our first date, I ordered this weird rice wrap and a shrimp beef noodle soup, the rice wrap looked like a condom with dry bread stuffed inside (taste like shit), but the noodle soup was really good though, I had to utilize chopsticks cuz spoons and forks were banned. Took me a while and much encouragement (more like taunting) from her to get a handle on the chopsticks. Oh yea, I ate this little red jalepanos, thinking it was no big deal... 5 minutes later, I look like a burn ward victim, I'm bawling like a baby from every orfices, and gathering disapproving looks from patrons of the resturant. Afterwards, we went to another shop that makes bubble tea (it's like flavored ice cream/frozen latte with either black or green tea as a base), it was pretty fuggin delish and got rid of the burning jalepano taste. I got a banana latte with tapoica pearls and she got a chocolate lattle. Those tapoica pearls are some tricky buggers. I need to lvl up my chopsticks skill.

Anyway I don't got much to say so I'll leave you with a vid of the key to happiness.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6lW5-FwcNlc&search=yogis

Sticks to his objectives but feels subjected to intolerable pressure. Considers it impossible to change the situation into one of cooperation and mutual trust and so desires to be free of it altogether.

Craig Cannon's Restrained Characteristics
Willing to participate and to allow himself to become involved, but tries to fend off conflict and disturbance in order to reduce tension.
Egocentric and therefore quick to take offense. Able to obtain physical satisfaction from sexual activity but tends to hold aloof emotionally.

Craig Cannon's Desired Objective
Tries to escape from his problems, difficulties, and tensions by abrupt, headstrong, and ill-considered decisions. Desperately seeking a way to escape, and there is danger of reckless behavior to the point of self-destruction.

Craig Cannon's Actual Problem
The tensions induced by trying to cope with conditions which are really beyond his capabilities, or reserves of strength, have led to considerable anxiety and a sense of personal (but unadmitted) inadequacy. His inability to enforce his will causes him to over-react in stubborn defiance and by assigning to others all the blame for his own failures.

Craig Cannon's Actual Problem #2
Anxiety and a restless dissatisfaction, either with circumstances or with unfulfilled emotional requirements, have produced considerable stress. He reacts by putting this down to a total lack of understanding on the part of others, and by adopting a scornful and defiant attitude.

I am teh win at cooking.

At my first attempt of cooking a decent meal in the whole of my life, I made italian meatballs and rice, coated with honey garlic sauce... Mmm, damn, it's tasty. I usually eat microwavable dinners cuz it's easy to make and doesn't require more than 5 minutes to be ready to eat.

But alas, I don't have a microwave to make my dinners anymore. It's a long story and I can't be bothered to let my awesomifferic supper go cold.

I was going to make vegatables too, but then again I thought to myself, "one step at a time, Craig, one step at a time."

I dunno if it's cuz I'm a pig or I underestimate the amount of food I need per week, but I keep running out of food every week. This needs some investigating. Hmm...

Calgary-ho!

So I went to Calgary last week for my brother's deaf hockey tournement, it was pretty cool, tho I've never been around that many deaf people before. I saw my old boss, Jessica Dunkely, from Citadel Hill from a couple years ago, she's now a physical trainer for the BC Deaf Hockey Team. It was pretty weird seeing her in Calgary. Small world, eh. There were plenty of hot deaf girls out there in the west, they're something of a rarity around here this part of the country. I managed to strike up some convos with some of them too, pretty brave of me. Oh yeah, my brother's team lost every game but that was expected, the team was rapidly assembled with players from all over Canada for the tournement and had no chance for practices, but they held their own pretty good, I think.

Oh yeah, I got this recent picture of me and I realized that lots of you haven't seen me in awhile, I'm now sporting a beard and a 'teensache', so to speak, and the guy on my left is my bro, Jeremy, he's as tall as I am now and he's only 15, the rat bastard.

Anyway, here's my mug.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v80/cannonstar/DSC00126.jpg

I'm off to Ottawa in a week. Lots to do this week.

Later.

Shit yea!

I got the job at Ottawa!

It's a position in a scientific laboratory called Analytical Services Laboratory. Dunno much about it, I tried a google search on them but couldn't find much, although I've seen a webpage of sewage analyzing and treatment labratory by the same name so I'm hoping that's not it. They said they'll send me more information soon about salaries, term of agreements, where I'll be working, where I'm staying, etc...

I'll be starting on May 15th and I won't be back till Sept 1st. Oh yeah I got accepted at SMU this year too.

Still a week left before I get to go home for the summer, can't wait to get this over with. I got a couple of ps1 games really cheap on ebay, like I got 18 games for a mere 30 bucks. I was just looking for the original Silent Hill game and I stumbled upon this ebay auction. I'm going to get the Silent Hill Collection (SH 2-4) whenever they come out with it (probably the same week the movie opens).

I wrote my english exam on tuesday night, it wasn't so bad, I think i did alright on it, I think 80%. I got one more next week on the 20th (ugh calculus).

Summer Job

I might be going to Ottawa for the summer.

I was originally applying for a job at Citadel Hill, I heard they were looking for deaf/hard of hearing people to work there so I sent in my resume like a month ago. I hadn't heard anything back from them until last week when they said they weren't actually looking for deaf people, just hard of hearing ones, but they sent my resume off to a program (YCW - Youth Canada Works) that hires university student all over canada for summer jobs. So I got another email from a person from YCW asking if I was interested in going to Ottawa for the summer job. Fuck yes, so I sent off an email saying 'sure, I'm interested'. The job starts in beginning of May and finish at end of August. I used to work with YCW before and their pay were usually 2 bucks above the minimum and in Ottawa their minimum wage is 7.75 so I might be makin about 9.75 bucks an hour for 30-35 hours a week. Definately better than what I was making last year (7.15/hour).

Still hesitant about it though cuz I gotta live with other new people, that means I gotta meet new people again and I make pretty bad first impressions. Guess I'm gonna have wing it out as usual.

Anyway I don't got much else to say so peace.

Ladies and Gentiles, I have a dilemma....

I've been struggling with a very personal problem lately; Namely, the next acquistion of a next-generation gaming console.

Those who knows me closely knows I keep my playstations close to my heart, Hell I even still have a working PSX. I am a playstation fanboy and proud of it.

PS3 is slated to be released this November. I am as excited as a Babboo in mating season.

The official list of features as of late includes:

- Powerful processor (Cell) capable of playing games in high resolutions and groundbreaking graphics
- Playstation Network Something (think PS's equilivalent of Xbox Live - they're offering the basic services for FREE!)
- They're offering a complete game library from PSX and PS2 games for download online!
- A standard 60 GB HD
- A redesign of PS3 controller (No more of that banana bullshit)
- PSP-PS3 compatability (not really that important to me since I don't own a PSP)
- Bluray technology (Lots of space on a disc, something like 8gb per disc, which means shitload of content for games - Think multi-language supports, more audio tracks, better graphics, longer games, etc.)
- Metal Gear Solid 4!!! (the reason alone to get a PS3)

But I gotta admit it's all sounding more like a pipedream to me now. All of these new features just popped up out of blue as soon as they heard the other competitors were doing the same thing. If this does become reality, I shall forevermore swear off women and then declare my undying love to PS3.

But Listen~! A Contender has entered the Arena!

Its' name is.... Revolution!

It's the next generation of Nintendo's gaming console; Though it's steered toward family, rather than hardcore gamers like PS3 and Xbox 360, but it has something which lots of gamers can't resist: A complete game library of all Nintendo games dating all the way back to NES era! HOLY SHIET. That means I can play Zelda: A Link To The Past, BattleToads, Mortal Kombat, Sunset Riders, Act Raiser, Final Fantasy, Super Smash Bros, Metroid Prime, Star Fox, Harvest Moon, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Breath of Fire and everything!!! I even heard a rumor they're planning on adding Genesis game library to Revolution too! Sonie The Hedgehog (before they raped and killed off the franchise), Ecco, and some other games I haven't heard of! All on one console!

Oh man, oh man, oh man, the nostalgia has my balls in vicelike grip! Though the controller scheme is a bit off-putting (it's a fucking tv remote for godsake), but the fellas at Nintendo Corps are quite ingenious bunchs, so maybe I can give them the benefit of doubt.

So as you can see, I'm stuck in a love triangle. I need to choose one because I am a brokeass college student working toward a worthless english degree, whoo, go me!

The price is, of course, the biggest factor here:
Rev - 200 bucks and slated to be released in June.
PS3 - 500+ bucks and slated to be released in Nov.

Here's a picture to sum up my feelings at the moment:

KEEP BACK, YE DEMONS!

Click on each paragraphs for the most horrible descriptions of hellspawns I've ever read of. I'm so GLAD I'm not in the Amazon.

--- Hydsatid Cyst

All the worm's larvae can do while they're squirming around in your body is settle down in one or another of your internal organs, grow to the size of a basketball and kill you. From the worm's perspective, it's a waste of a good cyst. All it really hoped was that your cyst would rupture, releasing tens of thousands of "protosolices," little eggs like grains of sand, which would do their best to make their way from your corpse to a dog's intestines.

--- Roundworm

When we say "small intestine," we mean shit. The Roundworm lives and breathes shit. Shit is its one true home. And the human (or porcine) anus is the worm's gateway to the world. After an infected pig or man or sow or woman shits out their daily quota of 200,000 Ascaris eggs, the eggs lie dormant for a week or two, then come to life like the pre-programmed bio-weapons they are.

But you might still be safe, because there's only one way to become infected with these eggs: you have to eat them. And yet one out of four humans is infected. The lesson is clear: we eat a lot of shit.

--- Candiru (My greatest fear!)

The Candiru, you see, has a nose for urine. When it gets hungry, it sniffs the current of its stream or river for a urine trail, then follows the trail upstream to the source: someone pissing into the water. The Candiru swims up the anus, then chews, shoves and burrows its way into the urinary tract.

--- Bedbugs

The mite plunges into your skin and sets up home in the top layer, the most sensitive and tender. It chews tunnels through your flesh, creating little egg-sites as it goes like queen monster in Alien. It's a very efficient process: by staying under the skin, the mite is safe, and the tunnels it chews make wonderful nests for the thousands of eggs it converts your skin into. Your suffering is thus magically transformed into eggs, which will help to colonize more of your skin, turning more of you into more eggs, until you are nothing but a screaming, maddened scabies farm, tilling the flesh-soil from which they feed against your better interests.

--- Human Botfly

Mother botfly hunts the tropical night until she finds a mosquito. And here again, she does her task with gratuitous elaboration, capturing the poor mosquito in mid-air and holding it still while she glues her eggs to the mosquito's exoskeleton. Then she flies away, and the confused mosquito goes back to her relatively innocent career of sucking blood and giving people malaria and dengue fever. (One sign of the botfly's Satanic greatness is the way it makes the mosquito, humanity's most lethal enemy, seem sweet by comparison.)

Finding a hot spot on our backpacker's freckly ankle, the mosquito settles in for a nice long suck. But the botfly eggs glued to her body sense the heat of that mammal flesh so near at hand. The eggs break open, and the little larvae, pear-shaped maggots studded with rows of hooks, fall onto the mammal's skin, then quickly chew themselves nice warm dens in that tender hide.

--- Moral of this Post

I need to get off this horrible planet! *shudder*

Scratches

For a while, I've been playing this game: http://www.scratchesmystery.com/

It's a real nervewhacking experience playing it, Cellar of Rats did a real good job on the background music. I got lots of sense of uneaseiness and impending terror while playing it, especially when I go to the basement, I just shiat my pants when I heard the loud ominous music playing while I stayed there.

The concept of this game is I play a lazy writer who bought an old victorian house which used to be owned by a highly respected civil engineer who went crazy and killed his own wife. As the game progresses, I keep finding clues of some darker forces at work (for example, scratches from the basement, horrible nightmares, and a child's room hidden from plain view). It really reminds me of the movie: The Changeling, which is good but I've recently played an indie game that deals with almost the exact same concept: 5 Days A Stranger... BTW I recommend you to try out 5 Days, it's actually quite good for an indie game and it's free! It doesn't take more than 2 hours to finish it and is guaranteed to spook the crap out of you.

But anyway, I'm just a lil disappointed cuz the more I feel the deja-vu-ness, the less the horror value this game has and I'm looking for something more original I guess. But I'm still early into the game, so who knows where the plot goes from there?

I've been playing way too much videogames lately... (Super Mario RPG, Super Mario World, Fable, Black and White 2, Sims 2, War Chess and Galactic Civilizations 2, plus some others).

I'm an addict.
